This guide covers the standard US mattress sizes, pillow sizes, and duvet insert sizes used across Mellanni’s current bedding catalog. Always confirm the live product page before ordering because available sizes differ by collection, color, and material.

The table below lists the common sheet-set size names Mellanni uses alongside standard mattress dimensions.

Pocket depth

Do not promise that every fitted sheet fits every tall mattress. Standard fitted sheets are the right answer up to 16”. Extra-deep products are the right answer for 17” to 21”.

Pillow sizes and pillowcases

Match your pillowcase to the actual dimensions of your pillow insert. Most sheet sets include Standard or King pillowcases depending on the bed size. Cloudten and Iconic pillowcase sets are also sold separately. Match both size and material family when replacing pillowcases.

Duvet cover sizes

Mellanni duvet cover sizes correspond directly to standard comforter and duvet insert sizes available in the US. Match your duvet cover to the size printed on your insert’s label.
When in doubt about duvet sizing, size up. A King duvet cover on a Queen bed gives a fuller drape over the sides and foot of the mattress, which many sleepers prefer.

Quick size-selection tips

  • Between mattress sizes? Size up on your sheet set for easier tucking and a neater look.
  • Pillow-top or memory foam mattress over 16” deep? Choose an extra-deep Iconic microfiber listing that fits up to 21”.
  • Using an adjustable base? Choose Split King — standard King fitted sheets will not stay in place on an articulating frame.
  • Not sure which pillowcase? Measure your pillow along its long edge: up to 26” is Standard, 27”–30” is Queen, and 31”–36” is King.
