Standard mattress sizes

Mellanni product pages and the Mellanni guide can list mattress and fitted-sheet dimensions in slightly different width conventions, such as 38” or 39” for Twin and Twin XL. Match the product variant to the named mattress size and confirm dimensions on the live product page.

Measure the bed

Remove loose bedding

Leave the mattress pad and topper in place if they stay on the bed under the fitted sheet.

Measure width

Measure side to side across the mattress surface.

Measure length

Measure head to foot across the mattress surface.

Measure height

Measure from the bottom edge of the mattress stack to the top sleeping surface.

Check the corners

If the corner is rounded, pillow-topped, or compressed by a pad, use the highest practical point for the depth measurement.

Common fit scenarios

Choose Queen in the Iconic 4-Piece Microfiber Sheet Set when the total mattress height is 16” or less.
Measure the mattress and topper together. If the total height is 17” to 21”, choose Queen in the extra-deep collection.
Choose Split King only when the bed uses two Twin XL mattresses. The Split King listing includes two fitted sheets.
Use extra-deep if the pillow-top layer makes the total height greater than 16” or if standard fitted-sheet corners lift.
