Mellanni product pages list the same core care instructions across Iconic microfiber sheet sets: machine wash cold, tumble dry low, do not bleach, and do not iron. The supplied care PDF applies to microfiber bedding only and adds cycle, detergent, lint, and heat guidance. The Mellanni guide adds practical care guidance for lint control, first wash, fabric softener, and storage.
This page covers Mellanni microfiber sheets. Do not reuse the supplied PDF guidance for Egyptian cotton or other fabric families unless their product label says the same thing.

Standard care

1

Wash with cold water

Use cold water on a permanent press or gentle cycle. Wash with similar colors.
2

Keep microfiber away from lint-heavy fabrics

Wash microfiber sheets separately or with similar smooth fabrics. Do not mix them with terry towels, cotton sheets, fleece, denim, or rough items that shed lint or increase abrasion.
3

Use a gentle detergent

Use mild detergent. Avoid bleach, fabric softener, and dryer sheets.
4

Dry on low heat

Tumble dry low. Remove promptly when dry to reduce wrinkles.
5

Fold or remake the bed

Smooth the fitted sheet by hand while placing it on the mattress.

What to avoid

AvoidReason
BleachProduct pages say not to bleach
IroningProduct pages say not to iron
High heat dryingLow heat is the listed drying instruction; the supplied care PDF says high heat can melt fibers and make them feel rough
Dry cleaningProduct and FAQ care guidance says not to dry clean
Fabric softener or dryer sheetsThe supplied care PDF says fabric softener can pill fibers; the Mellanni guide says softener and dryer sheets can coat microfiber and reduce moisture-wicking performance
Overloading washer or dryerCrowding can increase wrinkling and uneven drying
For fewer wrinkles, move sheets from washer to dryer soon after the cycle ends, dry on low, and remove when dry instead of leaving them in a hot dryer drum.

Stains and repeated washing

The product pages describe the sheets as stain, fade, shrink, pill, and wrinkle resistant. Treat stains quickly and avoid high heat until the stain is removed, because heat can set some stains into fabric.

Pilling and texture

Pilling can be affected by friction, wash load, detergent amount, and dryer heat. To reduce abrasion:
  • Wash sheets with bedding or other soft textiles.
  • Avoid washing with terry towels, cotton sheets, rough garments, hook-and-loop closures, or heavy zippers.
  • Do not overload the washer.
  • Use low heat in the dryer.
  • Avoid fabric softener and dryer sheets.

Storage

Store sheets dry and folded. If storing a full set, place the fitted sheet and flat sheet inside one pillowcase so the set stays together. The Mellanni guide also recommends storing clean, fully dry sheets in a cool, dry place and using the included storage bag when available.
