# Choose size and fit

> Measure your bed, choose the right Mellanni sheet size, and decide between standard and extra-deep pockets.

Choose sheet size in two passes: mattress footprint first, pocket depth second.

## Standard mattress sizes

## Measure the bed

    Leave the mattress pad and topper in place if they stay on the bed under the fitted sheet.

    Measure side to side across the mattress surface.

    Measure head to foot across the mattress surface.

  <Step title="Measure height">
    Measure from the bottom edge of the mattress stack to the top sleeping surface.

  <Step title="Check the corners">
    If the corner is rounded, pillow-topped, or compressed by a pad, use the highest practical point for the depth measurement.

## Common fit scenarios
